- Childcare and Travel Costs: Reimbursement for childcare when attending medical visits, as well as travel expenses related to appointments, including fuel, lodging if necessary, or other transportation costs.
- Additional Bonus: A bonus is offered at medical and legal clearance, totaling $4,000, as a way of recognizing your commitment from the very beginning.
Health Insurance and Coverage
In Ohio, intended parents are expected to provide or arrange for comprehensive health insurance coverage that addresses all pregnancy-related medical care. Surrogates should not be responsible for out-of-pocket expenses for prenatal visits, delivery, or postpartum care. We generally work with surrogates between the ages of 21 and 40. This age range helps ensure candidates are physically prepared for pregnancy while balancing overall health and lifestyle considerations.
Healthy Lifestyle
A Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18 and 32 is recommended, as maintaining a healthy weight reduces medical risks during pregnancy and supports a safer experience for both surrogate and baby.
Previous Healthy Pregnancy
Before becoming a surrogate, you must have successfully carried at least one pregnancy to term without major complications.
This requirement demonstrates your ability to handle the physical demands of pregnancy and provides you with the personal experience and confidence needed for the surrogacy journey.
U.S Citizenship or Permanent Residency
You must be a United States citizen, lawful permanent resident, or green card holder. If you are a legal resident or immigrant, your documentation should remain valid for at least two years to avoid any legal complications during the surrogacy process.
