Birth Story

June 1, 2020

The following is a beautiful surrogacy birth story, written by Lety from her perspective of the birth journey.

“I went into the hospital on a Thursday as I was past my due date, and the doctor suggested I be induced. They started me on cervidal that night and it took a very long time for me to dilate to 1cm, even with strong contractions. It was 36 hours later when I fully dilated to 10cm and I pushed baby out on Saturday. She was born perfect, super healthy, and beautiful, weighing 6lbs 2oz.

Her parents were still in China and missed the delivery due to the Corona virus situation.  However, my husband and I cared for her until her mom arrived. Baby stayed in our home for the past 11 days, and she just left a few minutes ago. It’s a bitter sweet feeling, we will miss her, but she’s finally with her mommy (where she belongs!) Seeing her mom hold her for the first time was magical and a moment I will cherish forever.

Her mom is so thankful and over the moon excited to start this amazingly beautiful journey of motherhood. I feel so blessed, thankful, and overjoyed to had been through this journey and the opportunity to change someone’s life. I’m so thankful for Amanda Casarez and for her being such an amazing friend through this entire journey, for always answering all my questions and being a great support to me.

Thank you to Stacie, my case manager, for also answering all my questions and guiding me through it all. I’m so grateful to ABC surrogacy for being amazing and making this journey go as smoothly as possible.”
